Web templates that you can really make your own!

Watching the TV and listening to the radio lately, we realised that suddenly there were loads of cheap website companies out there, offering websites for what seems like pennies. So we thought we'd take a look into what they actually offer. Quite frankly we were a bit shocked. The "thousands" of templates are, to say the least, very amateur in design and very restrictive in what the offer. Should you want a bit more, then the hidden costs are of course hidden (until you've signed up for a contract!). By and large these websites also tie you into the hosting of the supplier, meaning that if you aren't happy and want to move, you lose your website - technically it doesn't belong to you - you are only renting it.

So we thought, what can we offer our clients so that thay can have a bespoke (i.e no-one else out there will have the same design) website, that they truly can update themselves, adding text, pictures, video and also that can expand as their company grows. Plus, if they aren't happy with us (which we hope will never happen!) they can transfer it to another hosting company lock stock and barrel - no ties.

We came up with what we call the HSD template framework. It sounds scary but all it is, is a Joomla setup that has been designed to be as flexible as possible, allowing for....

  • as many pages as you want at no extra cost
  • the ability to add simple animation
  • the ability to have top or side or footer navigation, or all three if you like
  • the ability to change the design of ALL the elements of the design, not just the logo
  • use any images you like, you aren't tied into a small selection
  • take a look here to see how easy Joomla is to use

This is what it looks like in it's bare bones form (well an artists impression!)...

Which is still a bit scary until you see what we can do with it. This is a site currrently under development for one of our clients...

As you can see, it fits within the framework, but the design is purely their own. To keep the costs down to a minimum the only bits that can't be changed, within the £645 price, is the colour of the navigation. However, for an extra £60 that can be changed too.

Sadly, as there is a bit of work involved designing the site and uploading the template to the hosting, we can't give it away for the same price as the cheapy alternatives, but as you can see, for a little bit more money you can have a site that can grow as you do - no strings attached, and no-one else will have one quite like it.
